• If you want to relax one day at the beach, we surely recommend you Playa Progreso, a port city located on the Gulf of Mexico and about 30 minutes from the north of Merida. Silcer Beach club, a nice restaurant/bar on the beach with (private long chairs at your disposal for any drink and food consumption there), it is recommended to make a reservation before you get there. Also avoid Tuesdays and Thursdays because you will have the big cruises from Miami coming there. So if you prefer some quiet time, make sure to choose another day to go.
