This place is always hopping for good reason - it's fantastic! Try the Razorback roll. It comes wrapped in foil that they light on fire at your table; once it burns off the roll inside has a smoky flavor. Great taste and presentation!

I never feel quite "cool" enough to be in this hopping spot. Super sleek and modern and funky... and the coffee is just wow. My favorite is the "Onyx Delight" - honey, vanilla, cinnamon and espresso.

If you're a foodie, you'll want to eat at the 21C restaurant, home of a James Beard award-winning chef. You can also browse around the galleries in this museum/hotel.

If you're less fancy and more of a "local dive" type person, Sams is the spot. You'll find it easily because of the giant dinosaur out front. Known for its burgers, we love doing breakfast at this spot in downtown Rogers.

While Arcadia is in Fayetteville (a 35-45 minute drive from here), if you are a gamer you do NOT want to miss this. A HUGE selection of retro arcade games. Pay $5 to play as long as you want. You can even leave to get lunch and come back.

Look this spot up on Facebook. If you're lucky enough to be here on a weekend when they're doing a movie in the cave, it's an experience you won't forget!!! Especially fun around Halloween, when they do scary movies.

The BEST spot for families with young kids! The Amazeum is a science/play spot. Water area, Walmart play area where kids can serve in the cafe, be a checker, work in the bakery, lots of hands-on fun activities. Plan to stay 2-3 hours to really give the kids a chance to play and have fun!

Not to be missed in Bentonville! The original home of Walmart, Waltons is an original 5 & 10 store with all the throw-back candy and toys we remember growing up. The store is the entrance for the Walmart museum. My favorite part is Sam Walton's actual office recreated behind glass exactly the way it was when he worked there. After the museum tour, you'll end up in the Spark Cafe - an old fashioned soda shop where you can get ice cream cones for $1. A fun activity to pair with one of the many restaurants within walking distance!

Parks & Nature

Our favorite spot to hike and photograph! And SO close-by. The Tanyard creek waterfall (be sure to see the big part at the top of the hiking trail and the meandering portion down lower) is one of the most beautiful natural spots I've seen. Don't miss out on this one.

World class art museum set among beautiful hiking trails. The permanent collection is awesome and, thanks to Walmart - free! Rotating special collections are an additional charge and change every few months.

Essentials

While there are Walmarts on every corner around here, we love going to our locally owned grocery store. Huge selection of organic produce and foods. On-site butcher for fresh meats. Most produce locally sourced. And the best part is that there are photographs hung all around the store of kids shopping. It's like if your grandma owned a grocery store. We love spending our money locally and this is the place.

If you're here on a Saturday morning May-October you'll want to experience Farmers Market on the downtown square. Buy fresh veggies, bouquets of flowers, eat at unique food trucks, experience live music and lots of friendly dogs on leashes (we've even spotted a leashed raccoon). Great way to spend a morning in this quaint town.

Shopping

This is the gorgeous, outdoor shopping mall that has all the "cool" stores. Pottery Barn, Williams Sonoma, Ann Taylor Loft etc. Great spot to walk if it's a pretty day. Especially nice around Christmas when they string up lights across the streets.

If you're a book lover, this spot is worth the drive! Huge selection of used and vintage books at great prices. This is also near the Tonti Town Winery and several great italian restaurants (Tonti Town is an old italian settlement, so it's the real deal - check out Mama Z's or the Venetian Inn) if you want to make a day of it.
