Excellent wood fired pizza! Very popular local and touristy place, so be sure to make reservations. Try to get a seat by the window. It's bright there and a bit more quiet than the main restaurant and you will no doubt have a romantic experience. Their well drinks are very good and they have a nice wine selection as well.

This a laid back, wood fired pizza place and quite popular but you shouldn't need reservations (actually not sure if they do them). If you are into microbrews, this is a GREAT place to try! In the same building is Vermont's famous Fiddlehead beer. YUMM-Y! And it goes great with the pizza next door. Or just drop in for a tasting, buy a growler, and be on your way. It's good beer! Suggested outing for outdoor enthusiasts is to hike near by Mount Philo (about 1-1.5 hours). Beautiful westerly views of Lake Champlain and the Adirondacks. Then grab a bite & some beer to reward your efforts.

It's about 20 minutes from the lake house. It's a scenic drive with some beautiful lake views along the way. The restaurant is located near Snow Farm winery. You might find it enjoyable to take a drive over to the winery and have a wine tasting followed by dinner at the Blue Paddle. Be sure to call ahead for reservations. They are quite busy.

We highly recommend Sunday brunch! The food is delicious and the views are spectacular. Be sure ask for outdoor seating if the weather is nice. It is very popular and reservations are a must. After brunch be sure to drive to property of Shelburne farms and stop at the Farm Barn to sample some cheeses and stop in the O'Bread bakery for a delicious baguette to go with your cheese. There is also a gift shop at the entrance of the farm that sells their cheeses and other yummy items.

This very hip restaurant and bar is one of our favorites because of the food, drinks and atmosphere. It is located inside Hotel Vermont and is popular among locals and tourists alike, as well as, all age groups. We suggest parking in the garage attached to the hotel. It's easy and a short sheltered walk to to restaurant.

Do this tour when you've got some time and are up for a little travel. It's about 45 minutes from the house. Many of our guests do this tour when they take the day to visit Stowe.

Sightseeing

A lovely easy to moderate hike (or drive) affording spectacular westerly views of Lake Champlain and the Adirondacks. We recommend hiking the trails for more of a "hiking" experience though it is perfectly fine to hike along the road. The hike is about 1-1.5 hours.
