beach

Paros has amazing beaches for all tastes: quiet, sandy beaches with sapphire water; breezy beaches with perfect windsurfing; picturesque beaches with dramatic landscapes; even a healing mud beach for a natural spa day.
Chrisi Akti (Golden Beach) is one of the most popular and beautiful beaches on the island and it's only a few minutes away from the villa. The beach is well organized and ensures to bathers all the comforts throughout the day. Apart from the endless swimming in its clear waters and sunbathing, the beach is suitable for water sports, the windsurfing is the most famous, while there is also a diving school. Also, it has beach-volley field, sailing events and championships of kite surfing. The infrastructure is excellent and, among other things, you will find many restaurants, beach bars and several hotel complexes and rental accommodation. The beach is "paved" with fine sand and is approximately 1 km in extent.

Faragas is a well protected from the wind beach with white sand and deep blue waters. Despite the fact that it is a very well-organised beach, it keeps its company-like style away from the movement and the noise of the settlements. The sea is crystal clear and the beach has nice rocks, secluded parts, fine sand and dunes beside the sea. Visitors come from all over Paros to enjoy a swim, to relax having coffee or a drink under the umbrellas and the sea trees. There is a bar –tavern at the beach, where you may complete the pleasure of swimming and sunbathing, by tasting the dishes of the local kitchen. On the far left and right ends of the beach, there are rocks of curious formations and beyond them two more small beaches. It is ideal for people who enjoy snorkeling.

Unique landscape. Mountain made of natural healing mud known for its benefits to skin. Many visitors take the opportunity to apply this freely resourced clay on to their skin while enjoying a swim. This beach is protected due to its natural beauty so you will not find paid umbrellas or sun beds.

It is the most mountainous village of Paros and the most verdurous one. Lefkes was the first capital of Paros. The village is located under a pinewood on the hill. A walk around its beautiful narrow streets with the white joints will impress you. You will see the old washhouses that are still used by certain housewives, the House of Literature, the picturesque Ramnos, a street with taverns and other stores and the wonderful view: the sea and Naxos in the background. The houses are built amphitheatrically. The first residents were immigrants that came from Crete and locals who chose to built their village on the mountain, in order to be protected from the pirates. Ramnos, the central street of the village is located among neoclassic buildings, the school, the former community building and the House of Literature. The Parians and the visitors of Paros take their walk along this street or they go to the stores of the area and to the cafeterias at the small square, where the war memorial is situated. On the hills around the village there are windmills, many of which have been restored and at the edge of the village, on a hill, there is the church of Agia Triada with the famous belfries. Lefkes is the most verdurous village of Paros; that is why if you take a walk in its streets or visit its many churches you will hear cicadas and at nightfall crickets and screech owls. The village attracts many tourists during the summer months.

The Cyclades are known the world over for breathtaking views. So it’s no light thing to say that Naoussa — a small fishing village on the island of Paros, Greece — is one of the most picturesque villages in the Cyclades. But anyone who’s ever visited Naoussa, Paros will tell you how hard it is to find a village surrounded by water quite so blue, one that’s held onto its authentic culture for so long. The traditional, whitewashed architecture and quaint stone-paved streets, the natural shrubberies that color the walkways, and the full moon over the fishing dock at night all combine to give Naoussa an otherworldly sort of beauty. Many tourists might be surprised to find that Naoussa has such an active nightlife. As calm and tranquil as it might be during the day, it’s also very cosmopolitan. Don’t be afraid to let loose at night at one of the popular bars or clubs that stay open until dawn. Wine is an important part of the Paros, Greece culture, so you can find any number of bars and clubs to drink and dance to your heart’s content.

This is one of my personal favourites. Using local products and seafood, the seasonal restaurant Siparos uniquely highlights wonderful traditional recipes with a fine dinning twist. Located by the sea and overlooking to the west, it will surely indulge your eyes, as well as your appetite.

Wine

For the wine lovers this is a must go. Moraitis is a local wine yard with amazing varieties. Some are grown in such limited quantities that can only be found in Páros. Others are shipped across Greece.
