Bernāti - place to visit

nice place for lunch, coffee break

Abolsutely wonderful spot to enjoy nice cup of coffee with delicious desert or cheer yourself up with proper dish from main menu. It will be a bit too complicated for vegetarians as all main course is mainly meat based. If you go there on weekend it might be a case to stand in a queue to get in there. Never empty, yet so desired place by everyone. Must visit place when in Bernāti!

Sightseeing

Bernāti is most favourite destination for weekend walks for residents of Liepaja. With free and handy parking slot, you can take several rounds of walk either through nice forest path, or along the sandy beach famous for its spots and dunes. Whilst having walk through forest you will be guided by local historical art installations making your walk more interactive. On the way to seaside you will path by monument. Back in to 1924 the president of Latvia Janis Cakste was visiting Bernāti together with other state men and placed a stone on the hill saying: "One day this place should become a health resort". Since then Bernāti is still fighting for their status but thats true this place is heart of Bernati Nature Park. People are kind here, come and visit!
