Our favorite place in Bristol! 5 min from the Suite if you drive, or walk/run the East Bay Bike Path for about a mile. A beach, parks for kids, lots of space to walk/run/bike or set up a picnic and just enjoy the beautiful weather.

Best beach for families with kids. There are little to no waves and it's typically not that crowded. No food vendors or facilities. Just a nice laid-back beach. This was our go-to beach when we lived in Newport.

This trail is about 6 miles long if you follow all of it--most of it is rugged and unfinished. Makes for a great walk for families along the finished part nearest Easton's Beach, or a great run along the rugged terrain.

Getting around

Ferry is a great way to Newport

Parking in Newport is a nightmare, and traffic downtown is bad in the summer. If you have the time, try the Prudence Island Ferry. You can enjoy a boat ride ride into the wharf in Newport. Plus: Its a DD!
