The old town of Inverness is the historic centre of the city with buildings dating back to the 16th Century. It has the Victorian Market which is full of quaint shops from jewellers to florists to gift shops as well as cafes. The old town has many other shops as well as superb restaurants and lively bars. It is looked over by Inverness Castle which has a viewing tower offering views over the River Ness, The Caledonian Canal and Ben Wyvis.

We have some very good restaurants showcasing Scotlands larder hence they are always very busy. Inverness is a compact city and easy to walk around. Don't miss the beautiful walk along the river to the Ness Islands.
