The Gianicolo hill is the perfect place to enjoy the perfect view of Rome. Don't stay in Piazza Garibaldi, but move 30 meters to the left toward the written wall, where the view is unobstructed.

The Aventine is one of the lesser known point of interest, but well worth visiting, in particular Santa Sabina Church and Garden of Oranges with its spectacular view of the Tiber.

Get a supplì (fried rice ball with mozzarella) on-the-go here and you won't be sorry. Consider it a walking appetizer. Their pizza, Marinara in particular, is not bad either.

It's safe to say that Ivo is the best pizzeria in Trastevere. Service is so-so, and the place is quite loud, but still well worth it.

A favorite of ours, one of the best place for meat around. They also have the best tiramisu in Roma, IMHO. You need to book in advance, as the place is fairly small. Prices are a tad higher then norm
