It is worth to visit fanari beach in Epanomi. It is the edge of potamos beach but be a little consious with your car because due to te sand you may stacj in the road. Except from this fanari is an ideal option for families which want a quite and clear sea to spend the ay with their family. I advice you to take food and sunbeds with you , umbrella absolutely and a cooler. If you forget anyting to drink or to eat there are local canteens to make your life easier.

Getting around
The best way to move is by car
If you have a car Epanomi is an easy place for parking. It is a village so some roads are dirt roads not asphalt but not something tragic. If you want to use a bus 77 is the available line in stop named "amygdalies" 5 minutes away from the house by feet. 77 goes to the center of Epanomi village or Michaniona village. From Epanomi you can get the bus number 69 and go to ikea wich is in the middle from thessaloniki and very close to the airport.

Don't lose the local outside market every Wednesday
If you want fresh fruits or cheap clothes and other staff you can go to the public market every Wednesday in the center of Epanomi. Every thursday exactly the same(maybe a bit bigger) market in Michaniona.

Don't forget insect repellent even in the sea
In the afternoons there are moquitos even in the beach so do not forget your insect repellent.

Bicycles
If you are a family and you have came to Greece for a roadtrip, try to take your bicycles because with them you can explore the village in a more summer way. I used my bicycle all my childhood and I assure you that they give you unmemorable moments.
Ways to save
Go to super market
2 of my 3 houses have kitchen so the best way to have economic vacay is to go to super market (in Epanomi there are two huge) and cook for lunch and prepare meals to take with you when you go to the sea. Try the idea of picnic by the sea.

Don't forget to take inflatable lifejackets
Let the kids enjoy the sea with safety. Don't forget to take inflatable lifejackets. If you forget them though there are available inflatable toys in the super market and also to the local huge toy shop jumbo(30 minutes far from home).

23 August feast at Michaniona for "Mother of our Lord"
Don'tmiss this if you are lucky to be here at this period. Musics to dance and many retailers avalable to buy whatever you have in mind and last but not least ypou can go to eat "suvlaki" and live it Greek traditional.
