Even though I'm not a vegetarian, I love this cafe. As you walk up the path fresh veggies are growing either side, this guarantees fresh ingredients. Chefs prepare food from the menu to order and the coffee and cake are great.

An Independent cafe run by a cool young couple who do great coffee with a simple but delicious menu. By the way, the cafe owner (guy) does the b&w photography - scenes of Tasmania, and it's for sale at a very reasonable $100...I know because I asked. 😊

Great little cafe for a quick bite to eat, choose from freshly prepared food in the display case. They do a great coffee as well. Formerly a well known icon, Alberto's was the name of the hairdresser/owner (last photo) and was originally a hair salon of the same name.

To be honest this is high on my list of cafes to visit, but I hear nothing but good things. Set in an isolated area just off the highway this Victorian era conservatory The Tasmanian Food & Wine Conservatory is a cafe/providore stocking 100% Tasmanian produce from the best growers & producers across the state.

Cradle Mountain is a pristine wilderness experience, choose from a moderately easy walk around Dove Lake on a well constructed boardwalk. This is a Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area, where ancient pines fringe glacial lakes and icy streams cascade down rugged mountains. You can do several other harder walks. Be prepared for the cold, weather can change suddenly.
