While in Shimla, visit its colder, higher and less crowded cousin, Kufri just 13 km away from the main town. The views and sceneries here only get better, and the landscapes more flattering, a bit untouched with the tourist rush.

Travel in time with this world heritage railway line between Kalka & Shimla. This toy train takes around 4-5 hours to reach Shimla and is definitely recommended for the beautiful views it has to offer.

A nice drive between the forest to reach this ground. Currently in possession of the Indian Army this place has a museum and some breath taking view.

Whatever the food, a hot cup of steaming filter coffee is a must-have. The south-Indian snacks especially the Masala Dosa and the Sambhar Idli are delicious in Shimla's cool climate. A unique innovation of the place is its Mutton Dosa with a mix of minced mutton and onion masala stuffing, which tastes good with or without a serving of sambhar.
The best part being it is not at all expensive.
