This is where most of the tourist congregate. The main Whistler Village Centre is where you'll find most of the action with lots of shops, eateries and bars. It's nice to be able to experience all the action here and then retreat to the quiet of Creekside. The Whistler Village Centre is about a 5 minute drive or a 12 minute bus ride. There are also taxis available 24/7. If you are feeling extra energetic walk, run or bike to the village and back along the Valley trail (4.4 km each way).

Traveler advice

Book before you go

Here are a few places I recommend booking in advance

Rimrock Cafe is an absolute must and you need advance reservations for dining. Scandinave Spa is also a trip highlight for many. You can visit the hot pools without prior booking, but massages should be reserved well in advance. If you need ski, board or bike rentals Can-Ski is across the street in the Village is the closet shop to set you up. You can also check out Coastal Culture which is just on the other side of Creekside Village near Tim Hortons ( 5 min walk) . If you book online in advance both places provide a good discount.
What to pack

Be prepared for rain

The West Coast of British Columbia has a mild climate and we get rain... even in the winter. Often it can be snowing like crazy on the slopes but wet and rainy at the base. Making sure you have waterproof gear or at least spray your gear with water proofing to help you stay dry and warm. I also suggest bringing layers to help keep comfortable with various conditions. Good boots in the winter are also a good idea. Surfaces can get icy and snow slushy. It is easy to walk to where you need to get but the right footwear will keep you safe and comfortable.
