We love going there because of their generous scoops of ice cream. A ride to the coast is always terrific and many of our guests have taken the hour and a half to two hour ride. It is worth it. They are constructing a new facility, they will still sell ice cream but tours are temporarily suspended.

Zoos are always romantic. In the summer they have concerts, in the winter zoo lights. There is the children's museum in the same parking lot along with the Forestry Center. You are near the rose test gardens and can get an amazing view of the city.
