Sightseeing

The landscape is amazing! As you drive up you'll start to see lava rock peppering the desert. The lizards you'll see out there are definitely supersized! During the summer go very early in the morning. Bring lots of water! Also fill up on gas in 29 plams. Roys is not always open and when it is its about $6/gallon. No shops or places to eat there.

For easy hikes Hidden Valley is best it is a loop trail. There are some stairs. Look for the rock formation that looks like a bull and another that looks like a howling coyote! For a more strenuous hike test your thighs on Ryans Mountain! I had a heard of big horn sheep run down the side of the mountain right in front of me! When you get to the top the scenery looks like you are on planet Mars!

A short drive down to the Palm Springs area and you'll find one of the most beautiful places in the valley! Take the Andreas trail to some water...not always year round. It is on Indian land so there is a fee. I think $9 per person. After explore Palm Springs and grab a bite to eat!
