This is the closest trail to the house, a short walk down Claremont Ave. Garber Park is a little bit down the hill on the left, you will see a sign that marks the beginning of the trail.
It is a quick loop. I like to walk the dogs there when I don’t have a lot of time.

This is a great place to get breakfast. You can walk from the house down Claremont Ave, through the back entrance of the Claremont hotel. This will take you right to Domingo street.

Getting around
Bus to San Francisco
The AC Transit E bus to San Francisco stops at Ashby and Domingo, a short walk from the house. Details here: https://sfbaytransit.org/actransit/route/E/schedule

BART to San Francisco and airports
We are equally close to the Rockridge and Ashby BART stations, for easy access to trains that serve much of the bay area, including San Francisco, SFO, and the Oakland airport. Here is a link the BART system map: https://www.bart.gov/system-map

Walking from the house
Unless you are going to the fire trail, I like to cut through the back parking lot of the Claremont hotel for a pretty walk through the Claremont grounds and a shortcut to shops on Domingo or College Ave.
