Farm to table just 6 minutes up the road. You have to call because they're only open on some Fridays and Saturdays. Amazing food. Sort of expensive. Owned by a couple. The husband's an artist and the wife is a Culinary Arts Institute chef. They have exhibits upstairs and sometimes there's live music.

Drinks & Nightlife

An eclectic array of talent. Great local and touring musicians. The food is expensive, but good and it's good if you go on a night with a dance band.

Arts & Culture

TSL has independent films, interesting exhibits by local artists and is really low key and refreshing after all the ritzy upscale galleries in Hudson. They even simulcast shows from the National Theatre.

Shopping

Hudson is a very cool, magical town. When we moved here a dozen years ago, it was nearly empty-- now it's bustling. Lots of interesting art galleries, shops and restaurants. Our favorite restaurants: It's really worth spending the day there.

Olana combines culture-- it's the home of Frederick Church, one of the founders of the "Hudson River School" of painting, so you can tour the home that is now a museum, but also has quiet walking trails, gardens and several acres of outdoor paths.
