First-run movies in a small town was made possible by stroke- of-genius of several local young men who convinced the owner of the vacant theater that creating a membership system to support the cinema would bring it back to life. For only $19.95 a month, a member can watch every movie that comes to the theater at no extra charge. Only $34.95 a month for a couple. For visitors, a day pass for $16 gives unlimited movie watching for the day of purchase and only one person in a group needs to have a day pass, the remaining people in the group can buy tickets at a great price: $7 for adults, $6 for seniors (age 55+), $6 child (2-12), Matinee $5.50 before 5pm. Just 15 miles up HWY 41.

They have been designated as Points of Historical Interest by the State of California. Fully restored these they are a unique reflection of the life and times of the 19th Century.
