Looking for a romantic evening away from it all? Excellent food at reasonable prices. Have drinks or just sit outdoors on the patio next to the fireplace and you would never know you are in the city. OK, I confess, one of my personal favorites.

Parks & Nature

Not a big park, but manageable. Easy and difficult hikes and rock climbing, cool-off waterfall. Lots of picnic areas that are quiet and private. Rare Las Vegas snow in winter.

Lots of winter fun - snow, tubing, skiing (very novice) - but you need to plan ahead and get a reservation. Restaurant is nice with rustic, filling food. In summer, there is hiking and mountain biking.

Drinks & Nightlife

So many casinos, bars, shows, shops...a must do. Everything is overpriced, except for the free drinks as long as you're gambling. Be aware that most of the hotels now charge hourly for parking.

Just 2 miles down the road - Breakfast, lunch and dinner anytime, of course. Bowling alleys (humongous, where national competitions are held), movie theater, huge 'dirt center' - where they have rodeo championships, national hunter jumper competition, Lipanzer horse show, monster trucks, also stage archery championships, national cheerleading championships, ping pong championships - you just never know..... check the schedule. Then there are the free live music and dancing (and if your tough, the Dirty at 11:30 comedy show on Friday where Strip headliners sometimes show up to do their new or off-color material)

Shopping

Outlet shopping at its finest. You'll find locals mostly, as compared to North Premium Outlets which has mostly tourists (and consequently higher end stores and higher end prices!) Standard outlet prices compare to sale prices at their regular stores, but their sale prices are spectacular - you just have to be lucky.
