This is not a photo of Hunter Springs, but a building on Citrus Avenue, downtown Crystal River. Hunter Springs Park has a playground, pavilions, man made beach and kayak launch sites. People swim in crystal clear spring water, 72 degrees. They've recently renovated the park and you pay for parking but it's worth the $1 an hour.

This is the farthest you can get to the gulf from land in Citrus County. It's a man made beach with concrete pavilions, and bathrooms. Boat launch area out there as well, but usually very busy.

This is a great cooling off spot. People can enter the park, picnic and swim. Or if you enter at KP Hole you can tube down the river.

Ready for a 4 hour float on a crystal clear river? You can launch, kayaks, paddleboards or float in a tub down the river, getting out at Swampy's or Blue River Park in Dunnellon.

There is a high Mound that has a beautiful overlook of the river with about 50 steps to the top. Its an interesting walk with paved trails all around a couple of acres of ancient Indian grounds.
