Sightseeing

Stonehaven is very accessible by bus/train. I recommend a walk from the beach to the Dunnottar castle. The cliff is stunning! There're also very good icecream place & famous fish & chips by the beach. One of the most scenic walk in Scotland.

Accessible by bus or cycle through the Old Railway Road. It has one of the most charming garden and typical of Scottish castles. The castle cafe or restaurant close by (Milton Brasserie) are also very good choice. Drum castle is about 20 minutes away if you have a car.

Good park near Old Aberdeen area. Would recommend a walk from Brig O'Balgownie, through to Seaton Park & to Old Aberdeen. The walk is around 2-3 hours with pretty cobbled streets & houses.

This garden is in charming old Aberdeen quarter. This can be combined with the walk from Brig O'Balgownie, along the river side, through Seaton Park, through University of Aberdeen. Whole walk can be done in a couple of hours.
