please please please go here and stare into the Bean on a sunny day, it's also great for people-watching- folks from all over the world come here so always a fascinating and wonderful mix of languages and excitement around this sculpture. Also check out the amphitheater and walk through the flower gardens and the spitting fountains towards the Art Institute... wonderful spot.

great jazz club- sitting at the bar is cheaper though you can't see the stage. if you get seats near the stage- there's not any bad ones- they're all close. very small, intimate setting
