Not many pubs are like Ellen’s! Thatch roof, very (very!) old and not much has changed. There is music on a Friday night (about 7pm). No trendy craft beers, no gin menu’s, no food (unless you count Tayto crisps!). If the front door is closed go around the side. Enjoy! CASH only! No credit/debit cards!

These are the main towns/villages near Sligo. I have not added Sligo town (because... well... you understand!).
Bundoran is 30 minutes from The Hide. It has a lot of options for food and drink. A unique old fashioned seaside town with a hard edge. Try Guys and Gulls, The Salty Fox, Hardy Baker or Foam for good coffee and food.

Mullaghmore is a small seaside village. It can have lots of atmosphere during the summer but never too busy. In winter it is quiet and the focal point of Ireland's big wave surfing community.
