Hovedøya is the main fjordisland, it got a lot of history and you can visit the ruins from the time the island was Oslo's main defence base during the world war. The boat ride takes about 10 minutes from Aker Brygge and is a cozy experience. If the weather is nice bring bathing suit and picnic basket!

This is one of the most top tourist place to see, cause theres no other place like it in the whole world! To get there you take the subway westbound direction number 1, 2 or 5 to Majorstuen, about a ten minute ride, then a five minute walk to get there. I think it is possible to book a guided tour there.

Outside of Oslo about 20km away there is a popular amusement park called Tusenfryd with all kind of great rollercoasters and amusement rides. Very fun in the summer if you like that kind of stuff, and it goes a bus there directly from the city centre.
