Walk to the end of the road, across the big road. Probably the best nerby place to seek aurora borealis (there is a hill where you can see far away, no lights). It's a great sled hill too. If there is one landmark Rovaniemi is known for, it’s the Jätkänkynttilä Bridge. Jätkänkynttilä takes its name and shape from a type of torch carved from wood by lumberjacks, a common trade in 20th century Rovaniemi.
