Food Scene

The Heights is a very family-friendly, diverse neighborhood. We are lucky to have so many food, coffee, and bakery options within walking distance! We highly recommend grabbing breakfast in the neighborhood before you head out to tour the city - not only will you find prices more affordable than in NYC, you will be supporting local businesses! Same goes for dinner!

Parks & Nature

The High Line is one of my favorite areas in NYC! Once a freight rail line, the High Line is now a park in Manhattan's lower west side that runs where trains once used to run. It offers beautiful elevated views of Chelsea and the Meatpacking District. This area is great for grabbing a bite to eat, as well as visiting the Whitney Museum.

Large park at the end of our block! Always a lovely park to walk around in. Tennis courts, basketball courts, baseball field. If you're visiting us in the summer months, we recommend taking your little ones to the splash pad/water park area! It's a fun way to cool off & the kids love it! The park also features "Washington Park Wednesday" during the summer months, where they screen a movie outside, and have popcorn, ice cream, and other vendors. A family favorite!
