Sports bar that used to have a great bar menu, nice atmosphere, and rooftop dining in the summer. Very close to my house. It just went under new management and I haven't tried it since then.

Spectacular view of Manhattan, indoor or outdoor seating. Happy hour drink specials every day before 6 pm. They make the guacamole fresh at your table and it is fabulous.

Very expensive but the best food anywhere. Known for their steaks, but the seafood,vegetables and side dishes are just as good. I haven't been here in a while so I can't vouch for the service.

The best views but not the best food or the best prices. It is on a pier in the Hudson River so the views of Manhattan are great! The food is, frankly, overpriced.

Italian pastries; prices are much better than Manhattan. I got an imported Italian raspberry ice cream cake there for a party once; it was amazing. The same cake would have cost double in NYC. Triple.

Huge supermarket open 24 hours, 7 days a week, 3 blocks from me. Also there (not 24-hr) a post office, liquor store, Chinese take-out, Subway, Dunkin Donuts, and a dollar store.

I love Trader Joe's for great prices and quality on grocery items. It's not walkable from my house but you can come on one of my regular trips there or tell me what you want from there.

This Japanese market is so well loved, they have bus trips there from Manhattan. Since Fukushima and now I'm vegan, I don't go as much as I used to, but it is still a great place to shop or eat lunch
