Essentials

If you need full service groceries, this is the most cost-effective option. There are other grocery stores closer to the apartment, but the quality is not nearly the same for the price.

Getting Around

This is your main hub into the city. If you are looking to go downtown, take the 4,5,6 (the green ones) to Grand Central. From there you can transfer to other lines.

This is another key subway line (Q) that will take you downtown. Further walk from the apartment, but sometimes more convenient. Check Google Maps for the most efficient route.

Parks & Nature

This is my favorite spot in the park. It is a straight shot from the apartment and has beautiful views of the midtown skyline. This is also where you will see Central Park's famous castle and the outdoor theatre. Afternoons in the summer are perfect for laying out in the sun for a picnic or playing some pickup softball.

Food Scene

This is my favorite restaurant on the Upper East Side. Very good guacamole and great service without being too expensive. They have a fun tequila selection too.

This is the only brunch place you ever need to go to. Unlimited sangria and the portions are great. Perfect place to meet with friends before or after exploring the park or the Natural History Museum.

Drinks & Nightlife

Broadway wannabes and sometimes a special guest perform here every night. If you like dive bars with crazy sing alongs, then this is the unique spot for you.

You cannot go wrong with a drink here -- so long as it is whiskey. Very chill please with solid, traditional late night eats.
