NY is famous for his rooftop scene. Although you usually have to go very early to ensure you get up, it is worth trying. I would suggest that you head up there around 5pm or 6pm and enjoy the view with a nice cocktail. $$

New York is also famous for his speakeasy which are bars that were hidden during the prohibition and this one is actually our favorite and is very closed to our apartment. Try to head there at the opening if you don't want to wait. $$
