About an hours drive. Glennwood is a great daytrip from my home. Make sure to visit Iron Springs Hot Springs, my favorite, or the classic historic Glenwood Hot Springs Pool, Resort, Lodge and Spa. Traveler advice

Getting around

Parking advice in Vail

In the summer, park for free in the Vail Village and Lionshead parking structures. Avoid the pricey Solaris parking; they try to track you to park there. In the winter, parking is paid, a little more tricky and fills up early. As an alternative, park on the north frontage road across from the Vail City Market/Safeway and take the free Vail bus from the sheltered bus stop into Vail Village.
Ways to save

Epic Pass for skiing savings

If you plan to ski Vail or other Vail Resorts Ski Areas, pre-plan an buy an Epic Pass in late summer early fall. For the price of a few days skiing, you can ski all season at multiple resorts around the world. There are also multi-day Epic options available.
