A nice and large public, sandy Beach, excellent for swimming during the summer (ask if you are into swimming in the ocean during the Winter season).

There are many Places for hiking, skiing, mountain biking etc. in the large forest near the cabin (Gribskov). This is the place with the most and trails and best opportunities at one single spot. There is an fenced off area with trails and friendly horses which will eat from your hand if you feed them. If you just want to get into the forest by food or bike, you can pick an entrance to the forest much closer to the cabin. My daugther and I have enjoyed cross country skiing from this point (Kagerup St.). This is where they will prepare the trails for cross country skiing. Access is free of charge.

The harbour area and old part of the city with old churches and nearby Kronborg Castle is nice for a walk if you want to get a sense of the history. There a outdoor concerts during the summer and indoor cultural activies as well. Please enquire for more info
