Beautiful, lovely place to visit... the ancient moated castle is free to visit, wonderful for picnics and a run up and down the old grassy walls if you have energy! The Priory at the other end of the village, is English Heritage, therefore free to members, or a fee to gain entry, but worth it. Quaint pub and coffee shops, and wonderful walks through the old meadows. If it's warm you can't beat a dip in the river or paddle in the ford! Summer or winter this place is great for walks and exploring.
