There are numerous picturesque, circular trails through adjoining chestnut forest. Fresh, clean rivers provide many leisure activities such as swimming, kayaking and rafting. The Orb valley itself is flanked by high limestone cliffs with many water features along its length.

Beziers has a history going back many centuries having a Citadel, a very beautiful cathedral and a fascinating network of old streets, boutiques and artisan outlets. It was the birthplace of Paul Riquet, the designer and engineer responsible for the Canal du Midi ,(a UNESCO world heritage site), which runs close-by, with a 'must see' system of nine locks allowing boats to scale the 21m fall from the city to the coastal plain below.
