The biggest permanent flea market in Paris. It is very funny to hang around this chaotic area and if you're good at bargaining you should have a walk there.

Only 15mn walk from my place, if you go straight through the Ordener street to the east. The Bassin de la Villlette is one my favorite place. Very relax and not crowded, you can play "Petanque" here.

This is the most living night area in town. It is described as the "red light area" of Paris as you'll see a lot of erotic shops, but this is also the best place for music: most concert hall are here

A former morgue converted in a cultural events place, the building is impressing. If no exhibitions interest you, go to the hiden coffee inside where you can enjoy a juice in a relax athmosphere.
