A cracking little cidery in the stunning Huon Valley. An easy 25min drive - go on a Friday night for live music or Saturday for a lazy lunch and ciders on the lawn. Drive back via Cygnet for beautiful river views and lots of great cafes, more cideries and roadside stalls (blueberries, apples, raspberries - they grow everything delicious in the Valley and Channel area).

Arts & Culture

Museum. Gallery. Brewery. Winery. Restaurants. MONA has it all and does it all well. Controversial and not to everyones taste it's always worth a visit. Allow a good day to spend here. Go via the boat for awesome river views.

If you're keen to kick on or want a larger spot with a bigger vibe - Altar is where to head. Good drinks list, good rotating food vendors and it cranks into the night.

Head to the top for spectacular views (if the mountain isn't clouded in) or stop halfway up at The Springs for a gentle walk out to Sphinx Rock, returning to the carpark for a great coffee at Lost Freight cafe.
