A good hike to the top of Mt. Work with a great view of the Highlands. Take Willis Point Rd, turn left on Ross-Durrance and look for the park entrance. Bring a picnic!

If you're in the mood to explore, even further out of town, China Beach and the Juan de Fuca trail are beautiful untouched beaches. About an hour and 20 min from the cabin.

Prospect Lake is a 5 min walk, but we recommend walking around to the back end for a much more sheltered view. This is a popular fishing spot. 3k/~30 min down quiet curvy roads on foot.

Another walkable lake. Hang a left on Meadowbrook until you see a trailhead on your left. Follow the main trail. Paths are unmarked. You, and some eagles, will probably be the only ones there.

Natural deep polished rock swimming holes and beautiful water. Go past the main swimming area, up the hill, to find the good spots. (Super busy at peak summer, but arguably still worth it.)

A beautiful little farm stand, I can't recommend enough. Just follow the bike path to the left. Produce & eggs from the farm, yogurt, dried and canned goods, and baking from neighbours. Cash only.
