Icelandic cuisine with a more modern take. It's in the Grandi harbor area so it's pretty much within walking distance. I personally like the Plokkfiskur (Fish Stew) the most but their other options are good too.

Very good smash burgers at a reasonable price. Small menu (the #2 burger is my go-to). Added bonus is that it's located near the local swimming pool, Vesturbæjarlaug so it's a good place to visit after a swim. Within walking distance.

Good bagels. They have an affordable deal for a bagel/donut/coffee. Personally the salmon bagel is my favorite but the others are also good, they also have the best donuts in my opinion.

A place dear to my heart, the best Indian you can get and one of the best restaurants in Reykjavík in general.
There's also the take-away restaurant off shoot called Hraðlestin which is also really good and more affordable.
