Sightseeing

Great for kids and families on a hot summer day! I suggest wearing denim shorts over or instead of bathing suit bottoms since the rocks are smooth but wear on clothing.

Kids love it! There is the drive-through, self guided tour where you can see wild animals in their natural habitat over more than 3 miles of wooded terrain. There is also Fort Bearizona which includes a self-guided walking tour with grizzlies, jaguars and smaller animals including a petting zoo. We went with grandkids & we all really enjoyed it, especially the walking tour. Don't miss the jaguars!

Traveler advice

Getting around

Use caution at traffic circles but you do not generally stop

Beware of parking on residential streets as many have drop-offs beyond the pavement. Free Shuttles are now available to major trailheads at various Park N Go locations in Sedona. Free parking for Uptown area in spots on or near Jordan Road. Can walk or take elevator down to main street restaurants & attractions. Watch for signs in the parking lots designating some "Private" spaces for restaurants or motels; you may be ticketed there!
