Avoid the basic hamburger and cheeseburger. Get the GOOD STUFF! I'm partial to the Dr. Gonzo and Classic Jack burgers. This is the place to eat if you find yourself in downtown Huntsville.

Go local with your morning or afternoon coffee. I always try something new here. The staff always seems to pick something fun. I love to drive thru! Last time I had a surprise coffee and a ham sandwich. They offer a loyalty card too.

Must see, Huntsville is where it all began! If your interested in the underwater space experience book ahead of time. They fill up fast, especially on long weekends. Everything you need to know is on the website, but you can also call. The staff is very friendly.

A wonderful walk in the woods. Not a hard hike, great for anyone who can do a few stairs. Lots of different entrances, I like the 3 caves entrance the best. Dog friendly as long as they are on a leash. I use the All Trails APP for all my hiking ideas and research on new trails. Stay safe and bring water.

Getting around
Uber and Lyft are perfectly good for getting around.
While there is a bus stop a block from my house I can't say you'll be able to get everywhere you want to go. Research it and if you are not going to have a car, you can use a combo of the bus "Orbit" and ride share apps.

Avoid the tourist trap shopping and hit a local estate sale.
A fun way to see the real Huntsville and do your gift shopping. To find a sale near you visit EstateSales.net. They have an APP too. The sales happen all week and into the weekend. You can find the most interesting treasures and real history in the homes of our locals. The beautiful scene of the woods, pastels on paper, in my living room is from the estate sale of a local Huntsville artist.
