Next to the Oulanka National Park, you can visit the Basecamp which offers a number of activities such as rafting etc. Make sure to contact them in advance to check availabilities. When open, you can also enjoy a lunch and make use of their sauna and jacuzzi for a reasonable price

Getting around
Having a vehicle is quite necessary
We would recommend renting a car at your arrival at the airport or you can rely on taxis if you are not planning on leaving the cabin. But this isn't the most price friendly either and doesn't provide you any flexibility. There are several car rentals at the airport, they are usually friendly and user-friendly. I would make sure to book the car in advance to avoid steeper prices or fewer options

Northern Lights
To make sure you don't miss any chance of witnessing the famous northern lights, we would recommend downloading an Aurora App, which gives you insights about your chances on seeing them. Our property is a great spot for seeing them, especially down, next to the lake.
