This is our absolute favorite restaurant in Canandaigua!
Small restaurant run by a husband (John) and wife (Pui) team.
All the food is made in the small kitchen and they feature local wines that pair beautifully. During Covid they switched to take out only, and they do sell out every night, so order early!

This is better Mexican food than we've been able to find anywhere in Philadelphia (or Rochester, for that matter!) Everything is fresh and authentic. Service is good, but not necessarily speedy. We have had some problems ordering takeout on the phone, so we recommend going there to order and have a drink at the bar while you wait.

We love the pizza and huge subs at this deli - and their chocolate cookies are a must! It's a family owned and operated place located down by the pier. The staff is very upbeat and work hard to make you exactly what you want - plus everything is homemade and delicious! We've never had a bad meal from here!
Note: it's mostly a breakfast/lunch place, so go early if you want to pick something up for dinner.

This is a classic diner, with the menu you'd expect. We've had good lunches here - nothing surprising, good or bad! Perhaps the best part is feeling like a local and people watching.

You'd never guess, but their egg sandwiches are the very best in the area. Fresh eggs on homemade bread (including gluten free!) and it's all made to order. Not a huge menu but everything is good. Don't miss the cinnamon roll - it's the size of a dessert plate and delicious

Another great local place! Friendly service, good food, if a little basic. No surprises here, but very reliable. We especially like coming in winter - it feels very cosy.

Great french restaurant owned by another husband/wife team. Small spot, so it's fun to sit at the bar to eat and people watch. Not a great place if you're vegetarian. The owners had previously opened Il Posto, up the street but sold it about 5 years ago (Il Posto was a very good italian spot but we didn't love the food under the new owner)
