Park at The Ledges and walk right from the parking lot 5-10 min. Private outcroppings, grills, and picnic tables abound! Also a popular skinny-dipping locale - we hear you have to walk a bit further to find that.

Great place for breakfast & lunch, coffee, and pastries with an organic/locally-sourced focus. They have a big (but cozy) indoor space and a great outdoor deck for the summer. You can also buy some cute VT souvenirs there.

Very, very low-key place (you order at a counter, pick up your own food, and sit at picnic tables) - but it's great with kids. There are big boulders for them to jump on, a small creek to play near, and plenty of grass to run around.

What to pack

Bring rubber boots

It's amazing to tromp around the woods, but it's often muddy!
