Thin crust pizza with real cheese, fresh toppings and no sugar in the dough. My favorite is the Margherita 1 with a side of home made gorgonzola dressing and a Greek salad. Order to go or dine out in their picnic area.

Traveler advice

What to pack

The area is pretty casual. Dress how you are comfortable.

Tennis shoes are all you'll need for any of the hiking areas. A swimsuit for the beach if you are inclined. We like having a backpack with water, a simple snack, hand sanitizer and wipes stored in our car. Just in case.
Book before you go

Broadway productions

The Saugatuck Center for the Arts books some great musicals, bands and children's classes. Again, casual dress but tickets do sell out quickly.
Traveling with kids

The beaches and piers are beautiful but can be dangerous.

Strong winds bring in beautiful waves but with the waves comes ripcurrents and waves that can pull you in with an undertow. Be aware of your "flag" red means stay out of the water. Most beaches do not have active life guards or cell reception.
