Piece of Heaven in Redding

City/town information

This is a small Northern California town that has a lot of sunshine and blue skies. The pinnacle of the town in the Sundial Bridge and Turtle Bay. The downtown is rustic and upcoming with new businesses on the rise.

My Favorite Outdoor getaway nearby

Whiskeytown Lake’s crystal-clear water is perhaps the most recognized feature of the park. However, water-based recreation is only a part of what the 42,000-acre Whiskeytown National Recreation Area has to offer. Visit waterfalls, hike through rugged mountains, explore California Gold Rush history, and observe post-fire ecology in action. - NPS website It has the beauty, the water, the hiking, and the waterfalls all in one location.

This has the most spectacular view of the Sacramento view as you walk across the Sundial bridge architect piece. It is the tourist attraction for many.
