Grovely Wood is so beautiful, great in the summer as it stays cool and nice in the winter to hide from the wind! A short drive from Meadow Cottage into Wilton. If you visit keep an eye out for the famous Witches Trees, you will be able to spot them from all the offerings people leave on the trees.

Fisherton Mill has lots of art from local artists, some lovely stalls and great for gifts and a souvenir. Has a lovely cafe inside too with outside seating in the courtyard.

Wilton House is very popular in the local area. A lovely cafe and shop inside the grounds. Make sure you book tickets in advance if you want to visit. A note to remember, no dogs allowed except assistant dogs.

We all know about Stonehenge! A great day out in the visitors centre, lots of lovely local walks too and about a 15 minute drive from the cottage. Book in advance though!

Harham has some beautiful walks, there is the Harnham Water Meadows just down the road, Harnham Slope where you can see the chalk pit, and also walks right into the heart of Salisbury. A short drive from Harnham into Wilton, you will be able to visit Grovely Woods.

This is a new coffee shop in Salisbury, right on the entrance to the Cathedral, it has lovely seating upstairs, free wifi and dog friendly!

Has some delicious food, the pizzas are definitely worth the short drive out from the cottage, not far from Grovely Woods either you could stop in on the way back home, it is also dog friendly. Free parking, outdoor seating. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
This cafe is a great hidden treasure! If you have your 4 legged friend with you this is worth a visit, a great place to meet local walkers with their dogs and socialise. Lovely teas and coffee and there is always a free treat thrown in for our 4 legged friends, it's their holiday too right? :)

The best way to get into Salisbury is by walking

There is a lovely footpath along the river right into the heart of Salisbury, head right out of the cottage towards the Old Mill pub and the path starts from there.
