Traveler advice

Getting around

You need a car in the Verde Valley!

There are only a few taxi services for dinners out or a visit to one of the local bars that stay open late!
Book before you go

Make reservations early for dinners out!

Sedona can be a very busy city and it’s not uncommon for restaurants to have an hour-two hour wait time for tables during high season. High season is spring and fall and weekends surrounding all holidays.
What to pack

Layers, layers, layers!

Arizona is hot but it can also get cold! It’s not uncommon to experience 30 degree swings in temperature when the sun goes down. Locals always have a sweater in the car or wear layers when going out, unless it’s summer time , because you’ll be hot all the time !
Don't miss

A beautiful scenic drive up 89a towards Flagstaff!

This is a spectacular drive with stunning views at the top of Oak creek canyon. And if you’re feeling frisky head into flagstaff, they have a great little downtown scene.
Don't miss

Verde Valley wine tasting rooms and vineyards!!

There are so many amazing local wineries to visit. Page Springs Cellars, Chateau Tumbleweed and Burning Tree Cellars are my favorite!
Customs and culture

Stay hydrated!!!

Arizona is an epic dry heat! Drink more water than you think you need. And wear sunscreen!
Getting around

Sedona's In-town traffic!!

Be prepared for heavy traffic in and around Sedona! We have about 3 million travelers per year visit our beautiful red rocks so plan ahead for daily outings, getting a couple miles may take longer than expected. Also trail head parking lots fill up early in the morning!!
