Sightseeing/ Walks

The Cape Schanck Lighthouse is a real treasure, with beautiful walks and photograph opportunities. Obviously the historic lighthouse is a draw card, although the reserve's clifftop walks and coastal views are quite spectacular. You can trek from the top of Cape Schanck, down the steps and pathways to Pulpit Rock and the Black Pebble Beach. A great visit for families (prams and wheelchairs are not suitable for the cliff walks). + Look out for whales between May and October. + The lighthouse has limited opening hours on weekends so do your research if you want to enter/climb inside. + Terrific ocean views but can be pretty windy. + It is a National Park so no dogs allowed (even if in the car). Approx 20-25minute drive from the Guesthouse.

Lifestyles of the rich and famous indeed! Beginning at the historical Sorrento Park and taking you along the stunning Millionaire’s Walk to Portsea – this walk will not disappoint! Lentell Avenue marks the beginning of Millionaire’s Walk. The high gate entry is easy to miss and reminds many of ‘The Secret Garden’ – as beautiful treasures lie ahead. *IMPORTANT: drive down lentell's ave and park where ever you can, walk towards the beach and about 20m back from the private jetty is a huge hidden green door - open to start the walk. You are walking through the back's of the houses, along a public path which showcases the views along the cliff top. Follow it around to a private beach, then double back when you want to head home. Approx 20 minutes from the Guesthouse (except in summer holidays, travelling to Sorrento can take up to an hour, we highly suggest to do this really early or at sunset in Summer to avoid the peak traffic).

The Arthurs Seat Eagle is a gondola lift operated from the base station in Dromana to the summit of Arthurs Seat. See views of the entire bay and on a clear day, you can see the city on the horizon. Seriously STUNNING on a good sunset! We suggest pre booking this in summer or school holiday periods to avoid missing out. While you are in the area - Seawind National Park is around the corner and at dusk you can normally see wild Kangaroos (and great views of the bay), or great spot for a DIY picnic. Around the corner is the Enchanted Maze and Tree Surfing Experience as well.
