On an nice day this is a lovely spot to park up and take a picnic on the beach. If your are feeling like the cold doesn't bother you then dip your toes in the water or even swim!

Duke's Passyou will park up at the lodge (note it's paid parking) and take a walk round the various trails and paths. there are lots of artworks and sculpture around the park to view as well as the amazing views and waterfalls. there is a visitors centre at the top with cafe, shop and toilet facilities. also here is GoApe (a tree top walk and zipwire adventure course) which is best to book in advance.
visit loch Katrine and take a sail on the sir Walter Scott steamer ship. a great way to see the loch or just walk or cycle round on the paths.

Drive around 40mins from the pod and you will come to the historic town of Stirling. perched on top is Stirling castle where you could easily spend all day exploring inside and out. there is a car park but best to get there early as it fills up fast in high season. Stirling also has lots of bars restaurants and shops.

You can spend all day there if you like so pack a picnic (there are toilet facilities) if you fancy. it's nice to walk round the island too.. it's not huge so won't take long. please check the historic Scotland website of opening times (close in the winter months)
