City/town information

Whitby is on the North Yorkshire coast and is a must visit for anyone staying at Jasmine Cottage. The ruined gothic Whitby Abbey was Bram Stoker's inspiration for 'Dracula' and the town also has links to Captain Cook. Whitby has quirky narrow streets and a busy harbour with fantastic fish and chip restaurants. Further up the coast are the fantastic child friendly beaches of Sandsend and Runswick Bay.
