Traveler advice

Getting around

Car

There is no public transport in Columbia Valley, driving on your own is the most convenient option.
What to pack

Bring comfortable shoes and many layers.

Radium is a mountainous town. Lots of space around and ground to cover. Comfy shoes is a must! Usually summers are hot and winters are cold... If you want to explore the nearby mountains, bring layers. You may have all four season within a few hours and snow stays in the mountain passes well into July.
Customs and culture

Say hello to strangers

People always great each other on the streets.
Don't miss

Keep your eyes open for a wildlife! Especially on the roads.

Mule and white tail deer, bighorn sheep, black and grizzly bears, wild turkeys, elk, badgers, occasionally a cougar? A paradise for a birdwatchers too! Animals are often on the roads.. drive carefully.. Be SMART - DO NOT FEED WILDLIFE.
