Food scene

We highly recommend this cafe. The pistachio or hazelnut lattes and the food are great - Italian pizzas, croissants, tarts, cake and tiramisu. 10 Minute walk from the house.

We love the food and the warm, relaxed atmosphere here. It is a good idea to book a table in advance during the summer. We recommend sitting in the garden. 15 Minute walk from the house.

Neighbourhoods

We strongly recommend a trip to Grantchester village, rain or shine. A beautiful and quaint little village just outside of the city. This is where the TV series Grantchester was filmed and the village is said to have the world's highest concentration of Nobel Prize winners, most of these presumably being current or retired academics from the nearby University of Cambridge. We highly recommend going for a walk along the River Cam that runs through the meadows and then a stop at the village pub/restaurant called The Red Lion. Especially in autumn, when you can sit by the fire with a hot drink or glass of wine.
